LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- An Indiana man who went missing almost twenty years ago has been found in Minnesota.
Richard Wayne Landers, Jr. was five years old when he went missing in 1994. His paternal grandparents abducted him during a custody dispute with his mother.
Now authorities have found him in Long Prairie, Minnesota. They want to charge the grandparents with custodial interference, but the statute of limitations has expired.
Sgt. Ron Galaviz of Indiana State Police says, "As far as I know, there's no real plans in the works for any kind of a reunion at this point, but again, it's still very early, because this bomb shell was just dropped on this young man within the last couple of days."
As for Landers, he's now 24 years old, married, and expecting his first child.
