Danville man dies after being hit by train

DANVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Police say a 38-year-old man was killed when he was struck by a train in Danville.

Kevin Jackson was attempting to walk cross a bridge on Saturday when he was hit by the oncoming train.

Police say the impact threw Jackson about 70 yards from the bridge. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe he was heading to downtown Danville to meet family members.
