2016 Olympics swim trials won't be held at Yum Center

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville won't have a chance to host the 2016 Olympic swim trials.

The company running the Yum Center tried to bring the trials to Louisville, the economic impact is estimated at $100 million dollars.

If the 2016 Olympics were to come to Louisville, the Yum Center would have built a pool on River Road and inside the facility.

But six other cities are under review for the biggest swimming event in the country that will ultimately determine the 2016 US Olympic Swim Team.

They are Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Greensboro, Omaha, Saint Louis, and San Antonio.
