LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Repairs are continuing on the Clark Memorial Bridge, with traffic restricted to one lane in each direction on the Indiana side, and the speed limit lowered to 25 mph.
Crews are replacing the handrail and repair sections of the sidewalk where concrete is crumbling. Pedestrians have noticed dozens of cracks and holes on the sidewalk. Some spots are so bad that the highway department used old street signs as a temporary fix.
People will still be able to walk across the bridge since one side will always remain open during the $1 million project. Construction is scheduled to end by mid-April.
