LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say three homeless men were using the post office for more than just mail delivery early Tuesday morning.

Shortly after 2 a.m., police say they found three men inside the post office near the corner of Baxter Avenue and Bardstown Road.

According to an arrest report, police found Earl Allen (age 61), James Tully (age 44) and Gregory Parker (age 43), inside behind the counter, drinking, smoking and sitting in the floor. There was allegedly a bag of beer on the floor that the men had been sharing.

Police say they had received multiple complaints from the U.S. Postal Service and from customers about people sleeping and drinking in the lobby. The three men had been told multiple times not to be on the property, according to arrest reports.

Allen, Tully and Parker were arrested and charged with criminal trespassing, drinking alcoholic beverages in a public place and alcohol intoxication.
