LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Spencerian College is being accused of deceptive practices.
"We don't think Spencerian was telling the truth to it's prospective students. They provided students with info that they knew was false in the hopes of bringing them into student loan arrangements and to join the for profit institution," said Jack Conway the Kentucky Attorney General
Conway says the for-profit school, in some cases, advertised rate of job placements 30 or 40 percent higher than what was reported to its accreditor.
The lawsuit seeks an injunction against Spencerian to stop the practices. The school could also be fined $2,000 dollars per violation.
This is the fourth lawsuit Conway has filed as part of an investigation into the for-profit college industry.
Spencerian has campuses in Louisville and another in Lexington.
