Four hospitalized after school bus crash in Clarksville

Posted: Updated:

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- Two students and a bus driver were taken to the hospital after a school bus headed to River Valley Middle School was involved in an accident.

We're told 11 students and the driver were on board Greater Clark Bus 13-J when the crash happened around 8 a.m. in the 1600 block of Broadway Street.

School officials say a heavy-duty commercial semi caused the accident when it crashed into the bus.

Two students and the bus driver were taken to Clark Memorial Hospital. We're told their injuries appear minor.

The driver of the heavy-duty truck was also taken to the hospital with a head injury.

The remaining nine students were put on another bus and taken on to school.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
