Providence High School Art Club Makes Empty Bowls to Fight Hunger

Posted: Updated:

Our Lady of Providence Junior Senior High School in Clarksville presents their 4th annual Empty Bowls Event, Sunday, January 20th, from 5-7pm in the Activity Center.

The Providence High School Art Club created hundreds of ceramic bowls to be taken home for the suggested donation of $15 per bowl.

In exchange, enjoy a simple meal of soup and bread.

You take the handmade bowl home as a reminder that every day there are bowls that remain empty, and hunger continues.

Some of the art students created multiple bowls to contribute to the project.

They also earn service hours that they need to graduate.

All proceeds go toward fighting hunger in Southern Indiana.
