Indiana Gov. Mike Pence encourages people to get flu shot

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Indiana Governor Mike Pence received a flu shot today as he encouraged other Hoosiers to do the same.

Twenty-seven people have died of the flu in Indiana so far this flu season.  Health officials stress that it's not too late to get a flu shot.

Hospitals in Indianapolis have placed restrictions on who can visit patients -- it's all part of an effort to limit the spread of the flu.  Only immediate family, partners, and significant others can visit, and anyone younger than 18 must make special arrangements to see a patient.

You can find out specific locations in Indiana to receive flu vaccines by visiting www.StateHealth.in.gov.
