Flu hits Indiana college campus

Posted: Updated:

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WDRB) -- The flu has hit Butler University, and now the Indianapolis campus is trying to keep it from spreading.

Flu kits are being handed out, after 50 students came down with the illness.

That is double the number of students who complained of flu-like symptoms last year.

More students are getting flu shots, and the health clinic is giving-out kits with hand sanitizer, thermometers, cough drops, pain relievers and masks.

27 people have died in Indiana from the flu-- two were under 18, but most were older.
