SOMERSET, Ky. (AP) -- A south-central Kentucky teen has pleaded not guilty to trying to kill his friend's parents.
According to media reports, 18-year-old Paul Scott Young entered the plea Friday in Pulaski District Court.
The charges stem from a stabbing reported to police early Wednesday. Police say the homeowner suffered stab wounds, but he was still able to overpower the man who allegedly attacked him and hold him until officers arrived.
Police say the homeowner's 17-year-old son had asked Young to kill his parents. Police are still searching for a motive.
Police did not name the juvenile, but said he is charged with criminal solicitation to murder.
