LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Hundreds of people lined up yesterday, to remember former Metro councilwoman Judy Green. It was standing room only at St. Stephen Church.
Judy Green passed away last week at the age of 57 after a massive heart attack.
Yesterday's ceremony was emotional for many people, but also included uplifting music.
Green resigned from Metro Council after she was accused of an ethics violation. A council court later voted to formally remove her from office. That's not how her attorney, and family friend Derwin Webb, hopes she will be remembered.
"I think the attendance said it all. To see so many people come out just to see her and show the love and respect they had for her said it all for me," said family friend Derwin Webb.
Hundreds of other people remembered Judy Green not only as a public figure but as a wife, mother, sister and friend.
