Henryville, Ind. boil water advisory lifted

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A precautionary boil water advisory issued for part of Henryville, Ind., has been lifted, according to a news release from the Rural Membership Water Corporation.

The company issued the advisory on Jan. 18 for anyone living north of the fire department in Henryville.

The advisory was issued after a water main break at Hwy. 31 and Main Street.  It said that water customers should boil any water they consume for five minutes before using it.

However, on Monday, the company issued a statement indicating that 18 water samples had been taken and no bacteria was discovered in any of them.

If anyone has any questions, they are asked to contact the Rural Membership Water Corporation at (812) 294-1481, Mon.–Fri. 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
