Police receive more tips on recent attempted abductions

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Bardstown Police say they are waiting for more surveillance video in the recent attempted abductions.

Police say they are receiving tips from people across Kentuckiana about white vans in the area. Authorities say the vehicle in question is described as an older white van, possibly from the 90's. The van that was seen outside the Bardstown Cracker Barrel was an extended style van with a partial license plate number of JHL.

Last week, a woman in the Portland area reported someone in a white van pulling up and trying to lure her inside.

The day before, there was also an incident outside a Louisville Bank that may have been connected to the recent abduction attempts.

One suspect is described as a white man in his 50s or 60s with a scruffy salt-and-pepper beard, long white hair and a black baseball cap.

Anyone with information regarding the recent abduction attempts is asked to call Louisville Metro Police at 502-574-LMPD.
