LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Humana employee has pleaded guilty in a bribery case. James Wegner and Glenn Fine were accused of taking more than $2 million in bribes from a South Carolina company to refer insurance brokers their way.
Both are former sales managers. Wegner pleaded guilty Wednesday afternoon. A court date has not been set for Fine.
Prosecutors say Louisville-based Humana cooperated with the investigation. Humana spokesman Tom Noland said in a news release, "Humana was a victim of Fine and Wenger's fraudulent conduct. They abused their positions at Humana to profit personally at the expense of the company."
