LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A stabbing victim was being treated at University Hospital in Louisville Wednesday night, after an incident that started in Shelby County and ended in Spencer County, west of Taylorsville, Ky., authorities said.
People at Elk Creek Grocery along Kentucky 44/Taylorsville Road were surprised to see a vehicle pull onto the property and a man "kicked out of the vehicle," said Spencer County Sheriff Buddy Stump.
That man was stabbed multiple times, and the vehicle sped away, Stump said.
People at the store called 911, and medics later flew the victim to Louisville for treatment. There was no word on his condition Wednesday night, nor further word on the circumstances or a description of the vehicle.
State police detectives were investigating.
