New Milton-Madison Bridge expected to slide into place this summer

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The new Milton-Madison Bridge is expected to slide into place this summer.

Hydraulic jacks will help the new steel truss bridge move to its permanent home on top of the existing piers, which are being reused.  Doing this has allowed the old bridge to stay open to traffic during the project.

The bridge will be closed for several days while the slide and approach connections are completed this summer.
