LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- H&M representatives and the customer service department issue conflicting responses about the opening of a store in Louisville.
Recent reports said the European clothing store will open its doors at Oxmoor Center this fall.
But an H&M spokesperson tells WDRB News differently.
When asked about the recent reports, Nicole Christie says, "Unfortunately we do not comment on rumors. Contrary to reports we do not have anything to announce for Louisville at this time."
But the customer service department sent us a response a few hours later saying a store would open at the Oxmoor center this Fall.
A spokesperson from Nordstrom Rack says the company is always looking at new opportunities, but they have no definite plans to open in our area. The St. Matthews Chamber of Commerce says the big brand name stores help the area flourish.
"Once we get them to The Mall (St. Matthews) and Oxmoor they have a tendency to come this way," said Glenn Knight, the chamber's executive director.
No matter what the business, there are a lot of possibilities as the area continues to grow.
