"On Thursday, February 7, 2013, at 6:15pm, The de Paul School and Looking for Lilith Theatre Company will offer parents, educators and counselors the opportunity to experience a ‘rehearsal for life' with CHOICES—an interactive play on cyberbullying and teen suicide. CHOICES was commissioned by the Make A Difference For Kids Inc, after the suicide of bullied teen Rachael Neblett. CHOICES allows audience members to participate in the story by asking questions, making suggestions of what could be done differently, and by practicing strategies of what to do when your child or student is the target of cyberbullying. Since actual cases are addressed, please note that there may be some graphic messages.
Working to combat the epidemic of cyberbullying and teen suicide, CHOICES is a nationally-toured, award-winning play, in the style of Forum Theatre. In 2010, CHOICES received the Karen Willis Award from the Kentucky Theatre Association for the use of art as a tool for social change.
This experience is a community-wide event, open to the public with registration and payment through de Paul's website.
The cost is $5.00 per person, and includes coffee, beverage and dessert refreshments.
