LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Four members of Murray State University's women's track team were injured Friday morning when a bus overturned as it was heading to Bloomington, Ind. for a track meet.
It happened on Interstate 69 just after 11:30 in the morning when the bus hit a patch of ice, lost control, left the roadway, and flipped over onto its side. Four Murray State students went to Jasper Memorial Hospital. Four students were treated for minor injuries, and two more went to the hospital for observation. No one else was hurt.
Murray State athletics director Allen Ward says the team still plans to participate in the IU Relays Friday and Saturday.
