LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Animal lovers have a chance to work alongside hundreds of breeds at the Louisville Zoo. The zoo hosted a job fair Saturday for seasonal workers.
Typically, about 300 people apply to work everywhere from the gift shop to the splash park. This year, the zoo is looking for 50 to 60 seasonal employees who would work between March and October.
If hired, they're prepped for any situation they might have to deal with.
"It's hard the first time around. They all have to go through training classes. We mentor them and a lot of them come back year after year. We have a great returning group every year," said Cathy Bowling, human resources administrator.
If you missed Saturday's job fair, the zoo will be looking for more applicants at the Youth Opportunity Showcase on February 16.
