Arrests after $18,000 worth of jewelry stolen

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Police say two people are behind bars for stealing $18,000 worth of jewelry from Meijer.  It happened on Wednesday afternoon at the Dixie Highway location.

Police say Kevin Barry acted as a lookout while Michael Kiser opened the jewelry cases and took the merchandise.  Police say a third person later pawned the jewelry.

Both Kiser and Barry were arrested on Friday.  They're facing theft charges.
