We have new photos of the recipient of a kidney transplant, John Desmond, just before surgery this morning.

Seventh-grade science teacher Buffy Sexton is giving him one of her kidneys. We're told she's out of surgery and is doing fine.
The pair didn't even know each other before the transplant.
Sexton saw a shared post on Facebook from Desmond's wife, who was desperate for anyone to help her husband with a living donation.
The Meyzeek Middle School teacher responded, underwent testing, and learned she was a perfect match.
Sexton plans to turn the transplant into a lesson for her class.
