LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The man who promises to reopen Kentucky Kingdom is scheduled to get a better look at the property. Ed Hart is expected to do a survey of the closed amusement park on Monday.

It will give the developer another look at how much work needs to be done to get it back up and running. The Kentucky State Fair Board approved a lease with Hart, but he still needs to come up with $25 million in investments to reopen the park.

His group plans to double the size of the water park and add two new thrill rides.

He hopes to have it reopen in May of 2014.
