Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The design for the new Southwest Regional Library will be unveiled Monday evening. The $13 million regional library will cover 40,000 square feet on four acres along Dixie Highway.

It will feature more than 100,000 books, a teen center, and a large children's room.  It will also have more public computers than any other branch.

City government is paying $9.5 million of the cost, with another $3.5 million from the Louisville Library Foundation.

The Southwest Regional Library will be the first of three new regional libraries planned for the city.
