LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A gourmet meal for a discounted price: 502 restaurant week is less than three weeks away. It's a chance to chow down at popular local restaurants for $50.
Louisville is rated the number one foodie city in North America, and now is the perfect time to judge for yourself. This is the first 502 Restaurant Week this city has seen. It's a celebration of local farms, food, and restaurants.
22 restaurants throughout the city are offering a special three course menu for $50.20 per couple, or $50.20 per person.
It runs from Friday, February 22nd, through Sunday, March 3rd. But make your reservations now, the restaurants are going to be packed!
"That's our main goal is to fill the restaurants our other goal is to give diners a great value and opportunity to try restaurants they wouldn't normally go to, there's so many to choose from," said Executive Director, Belinda Gates.
Mayor Fischer announced the big event at Harvest Monday morning. He said, "we've got a great and unique quality of life here in Louisville, we've got an authentic place I say, we're a soulfull city we're not anywhere USA."
Some of the proceeds go to our local food bank, Dare to Care.
