LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A new hunting and fishing store in Louisville will open soon. Cabela's says the building is just about finished and crews are waiting for merchandise to stock the shelves.
The store, which is located in the Old Brownsboro Crossing development off of I-71 and I-265, will feature an indoor archery range, wildlife displays, and a mountain replica.
This is the first Cabela's store in Kentucky. The company says training will start in the coming days for the full-time, part-time, and seasonal workers.
General Manager Bob Johnson says, "We wrapped up mass hire a couple of weeks ago, we're still in the process of making offers, 200 plus folks, still in the process of wrapping that up, but it's coming along real well."
The store will open in the beginning of April. Cabela's hopes to announce a grand opening date later this week. The store is keeping the inside top secret, until it's closer to the opening date.
