LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- More than half a million dollars will be going to domestic violence shelters across the Commonwealth. That's how much Shop and Share Day raised over the weekend.
The one-day drive collected goods and money at Kroger and Food City stores on Saturday.
Volunteers at each store provided shoppers with a list of needed items, then they could buy them and donate on the spot.
The items will be given to 15 domestic violence shelters including the Center for Women and Families in Louisville.
