LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are not looking for a suspect in the deadly Frankfort Avenue shooting because they say the victims shot each other.
32-year-old Jahmal Lestrade and another man were shot Sunday afternoon at the Crescent Run apartments in Clifton.
Lestrade died a few hours after he was taken to University Hospital. The man who survived is in stable condition.
Police believe they know what started the argument. Barry Wilkerson with the LMPD Homicide Unit explains, "Right now, we're sorting through more information, but we believe at this point it might have been an argument over money. There was narcotics found at the location, but again we haven't determined an exact motive for that yet."
Police don't plan to file charges against the man who survived the shooting.
