LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Indiana's next budget is expected to include more funding for education and transportation -- more than Governor Mike Pence submitted in his budget requests.
The Speaker of the House says he expects a budget to be approved soon.
There aren't specifics on how much would be spent under the state's next budget. Lawmakers have to decide whether to approve a roughly $500 million tax cut that Pence is seeking.
That money would come out of a surplus left by former Governor Mitch Daniels.
