LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Special Olympics Kentucky is fighting to keep the collection bins that Louisville government is trying to control.
The non-profit filed a lawsuit against Metro Government over a new law that limits the number of bins, and slaps a $200 annual fee on each one. The CEO of Special Olympics Kentucky says that would cost the organization close to $20,000 a year.
She wants a judge to stop the ordinance from taking effect, and for council to re-work it.
Some council member say the collection bins have become an eyesore.
