The shops and restaurants along East Market Street are offering folks a chance to earn discounts on pampering gifts or other products before Valentines Day.
"Events like today are just extra encouragement to get people down and see the new places that open and see how much expansion we've had in the past year," said Leslie Bowers, employee.
Stores like Peace of the Earth are offering promotions to entice shoppers to the area dubbed "New Louisville" in hopes it will spur sales before Valentines Day.
