LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Louisville-based public defender has been arrested for driving under the influence.
According to an arrest report, 48-year-old Michael J. Ferraraccio was driving on south Third Street near Eastern Parkway early Sunday morning, when an officer noticed him drifting back-and-forth between lanes. At one point, police say he "abruptly" jerked into the right lane and failed to signal.
An officer stopped Ferraraccio and, according to the arrest report, noticed that he smelled strongly of alcohol and had red, glassy eyes. Police say Ferraraccio admitted to drinking two beers at the Granville Inn and was unable to count down from 46 to 31.
Ferraraccio was arrested at the scene and charged with -- among other things -- driving under the influence and failure to signal.
According to the arrest report, Ferraraccio is a licensed attorney and public defender.
