LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The Julep Ball is moving to a larger venue and the B-52s will headline the event.
Organizers call it the Derby Even Party with a Purpose, and it will be held at the KFC Yum Center on May 3.
The event begins at 6:30 that evening, with dinner at 8 p.m., followed by a live auction, and the B-52s taking the stage at 10 p.m.
The Julep Ball is a charity event that supports the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. Organizers say those attending should "come dressed ready to party in cocktail attire, which means attendees are welcome to come straight from the track."
Those attending include "Big Brother" contestants Janelle Pierzina, Mike "Boogie" Malin, Kara Monaco, Frank Eudy, and Louisville's own Wil Heuser.
Tickets for the full evening's entertainment are $500 per person, and tickets only for the dance are $150 per person. For further information and to buy tickets, go to The Julep Ball website, julepball.org.
