LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Is the Belle of Louisville haunted? The crew of the SyFy Channel's Ghost Hunters plan to let us know on an upcoming episode.
This past winter, the crew from Ghost Hunters visited Louisville to explore two of Kentucky's National Historic Landmarks, the Belle of Louisville and Life Saving Station #10.
The ghost hunting team came aboard both vessels to try to document the strange paranormal activity that has been reported over the years. It has often been said that the Belle, which is closed to 100 years old, is haunted by Captain Ben Winters, who died while aboard the historic vessel.
LSS #10 was originally placed at the most dangerous spot on the river -- the Falls of the Ohio -- where it was used to rescue ill-fated rivermen in dire situations.
The Belle of Louisville and LSS #10 will be featured on the February 13th episode of Ghost Hunters, which airs on the SyFy channel at 8 p.m. eastern time.
