CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ind. (WDRB) -- The Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office has determined the fire that killed five people, three adults and two children, in Crawford County on Feb. 7 was accidental.
Fire investigators with the State Fire Marshal's Office worked with the Leavenworth Fire Department and the English Fire Department to determine the cause of the fatal mobile home fire at 1325 East Denton Road in English, Indiana.
John Denton, his 8-year-old daughter -- and his half brother Billy Turben -- were killed as well as Denton's girlfriend, Deanna Roger and her 3-year-old son.
According to a news release from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, investigators have ruled the fire was accidental and caused by a wood burning stove.
The Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office is a division of the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
