Some Indiana state employees to receive raises

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Some Indiana state employees are getting a raise.  Former Governor Mitch Daniels authorized the increase to recognize the work of state employees throughout last year.

New Governor Mike Pence plans to continue the effort based on performance.  About 26,000 state employees are getting raises ranging from three to eight percent -- and some are getting no raises.

The state is spending an additional $38 million to make it happen.
