LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two men wanted in connection with a murder in Louisville last year are now in custody.
Police say they arrested 23-year-old Billy Richardson in connection with Jamie Young's murder on Dumesnil Avenue.
It happened in December. U.S. Marshals found Richardson and another suspect, Jerard Garrett, near Detroit this week.
Richardson has already been brought back to Louisville, and Garrett will be brought back soon.
Police think the men approached Young, saying they wanted to buy drugs, but instead, tried to rob him.
"At this point, we believe it was a drug transaction and possibly a setup for a robbery, as the warrant does state," said Lt. Barry Wilkerson of the LMPD's Homicide Unit. "At this point, we believe Mr. Richardson was involved and played a role as far as getting Mr. Garrett there."
Police say Garrett will be charged with murder and robbery. Richardson has been charged with complicity to murder.
