LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The weather outside is frosty, but for people who are still craving ice cream, a favorite spot is back open.
The Douglass Loop Graeter's Ice Cream location reopened for business Wednesday, after a few months of remodeling. The store closed in December for a makeover.
The remodel includes a new layout and an area for local artists to display their work.
Graeter's workers say the store now has a "nostalgic" theme, and is meant to look like an old ice cream parlor.
"We knew we wanted to remodel it and kind of bring it up to speed with some of our newer store layouts, and just give it a new look and some new features," said David McKinley, director of marketing for Graeter's.
Graeter's Ice Cream has been around for 143 years and started in Cincinnati. It's been in Louisville for 15 years.
