LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say they've arrested a Louisville man for selling marijuana in front of an elementary school.

It happened in front of Price Elementary School, west of the intersection of Shepherdsville Road and Buechel Bank Road, at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, according to an arrest report.

Police say they visited the school after receiving a report of suspicious activity involving a white Chevy Impala. Witnesses believed a man was selling drugs to a father who was at the school waiting to pick up his child.

When they arrived, police say they stopped the vehicle and confronted 29-year-old Victor Day, the car's owner. While talking to Day, police allegedly detected "a strong odor of marijuana."

Police say Day admitted to having a "baggie" of marijuana. They also allegedly found $1,220 in $20 bills and $84 in $1 bills on his person, and in his car.

He was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana and trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, according to an arrest report.
