LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former assistant manager at a Louisville Domino's Pizza has been arrested for stealing from the cash register, according to Louisville Metro Police.

Nicole Marie Huitt, age 29, worked for the Domino's Pizza on Westport Road, near N. Hurstbourne Parkway, between Jan. 2 and Feb. 6, according to an arrest warrant.

While working there, police say she took cash from the cash register and kept it for herself. She allegedly accomplished this by ringing up a cash purchase, then voiding out the purchase and keeping the cash.

Domino's Pizza lost a total of $827.10, police say.

When questioned about the missing cash, police say Huitt denied taking the money promised to pay it back anyway. She has not done so, according to the arrest warrant.

She was arrested on Wednesday night and charged with theft, according to police.
