LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say they caught two men in the act of getting some new wheels. The only problem was, the wheels weren't theirs.
According to arrest reports, officers were called after witnesses say someone was stealing tires from Tire Discounters on Bardstown Road, near Fegenbush Lane, shortly before 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Police were able to get a description of the vehicle the suspects were driving, and shortly thereafter, they stopped a 2005 grey Chevy truck matching the description near the corner of Bardstown Road and Watterson Trail.
Two suspects, 51-year-old George Baskerville and 54-year-old William Vanhorn, were inside the truck, according to police, along with a 14-year-old boy. Police say they also found 12 tires in the truck bed.
Baskerville allegedly admitted to taking the tires from Tire Discounters. Police say the value of the tires was between $600 and $1,000.
Both men were arrested and charged with receipt of stolen property.
