LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A Metro Animal Services worker is recovering after being attacked by pit bulls.  That person was bitten several times at the Manslick Road location.

An MAS spokeswoman says the employee was dealing with a jammed door in the kennel area when the dogs attacked.

A Kentucky Humane Society employee was also bitten trying to help.  That person was treated and released from University Hospital.

The employee is in good condition.  Counselors were on site today following the attack.
