LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Local parents are using technology to protect their children.
Jeff Wyler Toyota in Clarksville, Indiana, offered free digital freeprinting for children Friday afternoon, and will continue Saturday.
An inkless digital scanner captures high resolution images.
Parents then keep the files, so they can provide them to police if needed.
"You never know what can help, and every minute counts. We wanted to be extra prepared," says mother Nicole Helm.
Helm says another benefit of digital fingerprinting is not having to deal with messy fingers in the car.
Parents can take their children to get their fingerprints Saturday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 808 E. Lewis and Clark Parkway in Clarksville.
