School motto aims to increase college enrollment

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- An Indiana school is taking a serious stance on whether students go to college. Charles Tindley Accelerated School has a new motto -- "College or Die."

The slogan is painted inside the school in capital letters. The words may seem harsh, but school administrators say it's all about motivation.

Most of its students live at or below the poverty line, so the school's chancellor calls higher education the difference between opportunity and oppression.
