MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (AP) -- An eastern Kentucky man facing 25 charges related to sex acts with boys under the age of 12 faces trial in May.
A Bell County Circuit jury will hear the case of 29-year-old Jason Griffey May 7 in Middlesboro.
Griffey was indicted on 11 counts of first-degree sodomy, seven counts of first-degree sexual abuse and nine counts of first-degree criminal attempt to commit sexual abuse.
Police initially arrested Griffey Oct. 14, 2011, for just the 11 counts of sodomy. He was charged with sexual abuse and criminal attempt to commit sexual abuse following an investigation.
The Daily News in Middlesboro reported that Griffey was found competent to stand trial on the charges about a month ago.
