Fox NewsEdge iPump -- A Tulsa man is taking on the Austin marathon. With two car tires on his shoulders, runner Mikeal Ball went to the extreme carrying his old car tires.
Ball needed new tires about a year ago, so he worked the old ones into his training regimen. it fits right in with the Keep Austin Weird theme.
"I really want to push my mind and my body to the absolute limit. If I can't find a race that does that, then I find a way to do so. It'll be tough. But it's something that I'm comfortable with. I love tough competitions. This is gonna be one of them," said Ball.
The athlete finished the 26.2 miles in 4 hours and 30 minutes.
