Shepherdsville bank robbery suspect captured within minutes

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The suspect in a bank robbery in Shepherdsville was captured within minutes after leaving the bank.

The robbery happened at 11:18 a.m. at the First Federal Savings Bank in the 300 block of Buckman Street.  Shepherdsville Police say the suspect "became physical" with a teller and demanded money.

The suspect left the bank before police arrived, but was involved in "an altercation" with a Bullitt County Sheriff's Deputy at the Judicial Center.  57-year-old Jackie Pruitt of Shepherdsville was arrested and charged with robbery.
