JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- Jeffersonville Police are looking for a man who allegedly shot his wife early today.

It happened about 1 a.m. at a home on Colonial Park Drive.

Jeffersonville police are looking for 41-year-old Frederick W. Miller. He's described as a black man, 5'10" and weighing approximately 165 pounds. Police consider him armed and dangerous.

Jeffersonville Detective Todd Hollis says Miller and his wife were fighting and that she tried to leave with three children through a window.

"He followed her into the room and pulled her out of the window, and when she tried to escape a second time, he shot her -- and shot her again -- all with the children present," Hollis said.

The woman was taken to the hospital. No word yet on her identity or condition, but police say she is expected to survive.

The children were released to their grandparents.

Jeffersonville Police Detective Todd Hollis tells WDRB the woman was shot twice. She is at the hospital and is expected to survive.

Her husband was last seen leaving the scene on foot.
