LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Green is a color very familiar to the Kentucky Army National Guard.

It's in their uniforms and on their vehicles and aircrafts.

But the guard's training center in Greenville, Kentucky is being recognized for being environmentally green.

The Wendell H. Ford Regional Training Center was the only large Army installation to receive the Secretary of the Army Environmental Award this year.

It's been given out since 1962.
